Your adventure begins at Finca Curubanda – The Official Entrance, where our certified local guides welcome you and prepare you with a safety briefing. From here, the trail leads you through a stunning natural canyon carved by volcanic activity, surrounded by lush forest, crystal-clear pools, and unique blue water formations.
You will cross rivers, climb over volcanic boulders, swim through a short canyon section (only if you want), and explore hidden turquoise chambers created by the volcano's minerals.
The final reward is the majestic La Leona Waterfall, famous for its bright blue water, narrow canyon walls, natural light beams, and powerful flow — a completely unique landscape found nowhere else in Costa Rica.
